Robbie Schaefer released a kids album in 2006 titled Songs for Kids Like Us and it contains some adorable and charming gems. While “Chicken Lips” was a big hit in our household for a while, the latest fave is “Sally, Can I Walk You Home?” A song about best friends wanting to help each other out and spend more time together.
Sally, can I walk you home?
It’s only three more blocks.
Three blocks down and back again.
We’ll count ‘em while we walk…
Three more blocks, three more blocks, three and three make six.
Three more blocks, three more blocks, we’ll count ‘em just for kicks.
Three more blocks, three more blocks, three and three make six.
Three more blocks, three more blocks, we’ll count ‘em just for kicks.
MR B: Not as funny as “Chicken Lips”, but Robbie’s my buddy…
MISS P: I like the name Sally!

Cute song! If I were Sally’s parents I’ve keep my eye on this guys, especially since he only lives 3 blocks away…
Reasonably Less – thanks for stopping by!
Rachel – I know, right? Actually, I heard Robbie talking about how it was a song he wrote for one of his nieces or something and her best friend that was a girl. How ’bout that for a twist! I’m guessing we’re talking about young’ns here…
